Let's get one thing straight. I loved "Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time". The story, the characters, everything. However, there's one thing I need to get off my chest.
None of the women were butchered or acted out of their character in any way during the game and it's making.
Yes, I get that the ladies got a (major in one case) redesign. For one, it was to represent how much she grew. I've got my gripes about Carmelita's skirt, but all in all, the rest of the outfit was still her.
Carmelita's personality in this game. Yes, she was pissed. Completely angry. But for a good reason. Who knew how long Sly was faking his amnesia? She may have also been angry at herself for trying to believe that she could change him for the better and the fact that she failed to do so. As a driven woman, my guess is she can't allow failure in her book.
At the end, she regretted her words and actions toward him and may have realized that she does love him for the way he is. If that isn't a start toward redemption, I don't know what is.
Now for Penelope. I actually support her as a villain.
You heard me right. There may have been a reason that Sanzaru did not reveal in the fourth game that made her turn evil. There's a reason the Sly Cooper games are considered fiction and why we make fan art and fan fiction. To fill in whatever gaps may have been made. Until we know the real reason, everything is up to interpretation.
My final point. It's only a game. Fans love these things for many reasons. Story, gameplay, characters, etc. We don't let petty things like this stop us from completing Sly's story. Period.
